An easy drill for the
high handicappers to help their slice!
Article by Tim Poulos
My first
tip is kind of a little drill for the high
handicappers to help their slice. The next time
you are on the driving range, bring a 2x4 board
along with you. What you want to do is set your
2x4 parallel to the target line and put the ball
so there is no more than a half an inch from the
toe of the club to the board. Start hitting
little chip shots at first then gradually
lengthen your swing as you become more
comfortable. What the board does is it prevents
the club from taking that outside in swing path
that produces a slice or a shank. The board will
make you swing from the inside of the path line,
thus producing pure shots with better trajectory.
Next Tip: Body
movement
