| Louis J. Maurin was a class act. He believed in family values,
and strong morals. He was a devout Catholic and family man. He
was a man of principle. He spoke of it in his memoirs: "I
was born with it, and I shall die with it" he wrote. But
to this writer, he was more than all that...he was my grandfather.
His wife Emma, died in 1958. He joined her in 1985. He left behind
a legacy. A legacy of civic pride, family, and fun. He had a
vision for a brighter future. His story itself, is worthy of
a movie script. Thanks......for the movies; and the memories. |
