Restoration will include "windows" in the walls to allow for viewing of (brick between post), and (mud and moss) construction, and other early framing techniques.
The House will be furnished with articles from the 18th and 19th century. The Godchaux-Reserve House Historical Society will attempt to locate and purchase furnishings original to the house.
A gift shop will be located on the lower floor, as will a coffee shop.
Exhibits on the lower floor will consist of drawings of the construction and evolution of the house, and purchase and expansion of the plantation properties.
Sugar cane will be grown on the grounds and a Cutting" demonstration will be held for tours.
Entertainment in the form of Cajun and other music, singing will be performed at various times throughout the day.
Tours of the house will be accompanied by trained professional guides.
