Who We AreAirline Motors Restaurant is located in LaPlace, Louisiana, exit 209 off I-10 between Baton Rouge Louisiana and New Orleans Louisiana. We are a historical landmark in St. John Parish at the intersection of Hwy. 61(Airline Highway) and Hwy. 51. As you tour our web site, you'll be surprised to see that since Airline Motors was built in 1937, until this present day, little has changed in this very unique building. We first opened as Airline Chevrolet Co. and sold Esso gasoline, sold automobiles, provided service station services, and a wrecker service. In 1939, a cafe was added with slot machines. In 1948 the cafe was remodeled and enlarged into a restaurant. This cafe remodeled into a restaurant is what you still see today at Airline Motors! Step back in time and surround yourself in the trappings of a grand era, an era of the colorful Louisiana Governor Huey P. Long, an era when model T's still stopped in to fill up with gas, an era of the 55, 56, 57 Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, and Dodges. Step back into an era when long dresses, bobby socks, and saddle shoes were common. Please enjoy our web site, and please come and visit Airline Motors Restaurant, visit with us in the fun and carefree surrounding of happy eras, bring back some great memories and together we'll make some new ones too! We'll enjoy having you visit Airline Motors Restaurant and look forward to serving you some great food from our menu of time tested favorites!
